Our
mission here at the guitar jam space is to provide a community where people can
showcase their own music that they have on the internet and browse through the
music that other people in the community have posted and to allow people to get
in contact with each other and collaborate on a song or an album. Please feel
free to use the message board to post your links to your songs you will find a
thread for this purpose just click on the message board on the left and log in.
For Information on how these collaborations can be recorded and displayed or
listened to please refer to the HOW DO I COLLABORATE section of this page a bit
further down (just click on the link above)
Ok here
is some of my ideas around how people can do collaborations with others here at
guitar jam space once you have found someone that you would like to do a
collaboration with the first step would be to get in contact with them and let
them know you want to do a collaboration with them and point them to where your
music is (I ask that all people requesting to do a collaboration have at least
one track available online so that the other person can decide if they would
like to collaborate with you). Once you have agreed to do a song together you
would choose who is going to record the first section and then that person would
do their part of the recording and then upload it onto one of the free music
servers out there and set it up as a free download (I personally use http://soundclick.com
but there are others) these websites will host the song for you for free and
make it available as a free download (to find more music hosting sites go to the
WHERE CAN I UPLOAD FILES section of this web page).
Once the file has been uploaded and set as a free download the first
person would message the second person to tell them the track is ready and where
they can find the download and then the second person can download the track and
add their part to it by synchronizing their part over the original or by using a
mixer. When this step is complete
the second person would upload the finished track back on the web, contact the
first person so they know the song is finished and then post the link to it in
the appropriate part of the message board so that everyone else here can have a
listen to it. you will also find a
section in the message board where you can post reviews for the finished
collaborations.
Here is
a couple of places where you can upload your files these are all free music
hosts that support free download if you know of more places like this please
tell me in the shout box and I will check them out and add the link.
Blistered
finger is my one man band that I put together for an excuse to record and write
songs while I am not in any other bands, I also started this band so that I
would be allowed to over play as much as I like (you see this is a bad habit of
mine I love extended guitar solos but bands often don’t so I started a band
dedicated to overplaying so that I could slow down and not go overboard while
playing with other bands). The
instruments on this album are lead and rhythm guitar, bass, and the occasional
computer generated backing track (using fruity loops and other similar
programs).

cover, and more info please go to the blistered finger page
